One week old today!

The first week has gone by so fast! Dallin is doing great he is very healthy. He has the longest toes I've ever seen, he weighed 7lbs 13 oz and 20.5 inches long. We are so glad to have him join our hapy little family. I am feeling much better than I did a week ago and even 2 weeks ago. Ben went back to work today and I miss him, but i know I was very spoiled to have him here all last week. Joseph seems to be adjusting well to having a brother so far... We bought him a baby boy doll that makes noise and wiggles and pees and he likes to show it off and change its diaper over and over. I think this has helped him feel like he knows whats going on a little better. and when he wants to shove things in Dallins mouth I can tell him to put it in his baby's mouth not Mommy's baby's mouth. He is pretty fascinated by it all at this point I hope he doesn't start to get jealous. Thank you friends and family for helping with Joseph bringing meals and just being excited with us! We love you all!

Delena is trying to get some sleep. Things are moving along well. Our nurse is now leaving and we are getting a new one soon. So far baby is doing great and contractions are about 3 min apart

Delena is now fully drugged up and we are now waiting for things to progress along.

Here comes the baby

We will not be leaving the hospital today. Delena's water has now broken and we are headed for new baby.

Is today the day?

Delena has woken up very swollen, headache, nausea and contractions! 15 min apart for nearly 2 hours. We are headed to the hospital now. We will keep you all updated.

Wait for it... wait for it...

I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster right now! I had a plan in my head of when and how this baby would come. Plans have changed many times, I'm not complaining i just like having a plan. Our original due date was May 23. We wanted to be started a week early, and then I dilated from a 2 to a 3 in a week and I have been really sick for the last week. Our doctor said she would be surprised if we made it through the week and she told us to go to the hospital as soon as we are in any kind of rhythm with contractions or if my symptoms get worse. (headache, nausea, insomnia, lightheaded, swelling etc.) We did go to the hospital last week because of these symptoms and the baby is fine. We are 38 weeks.
With Joseph I had a lot of consistent contractions but minimal dilation. This time i dilated quickly but i have not have very good steady contractions. We have all been on edge this week wondering if something will happen or not. Joseph had strep throat and pink eye in both eyes this week as well, he is doing much better and hopefully he wont be sick when he meets his brother! We are so excited to meet our new our new baby and every day is important for his health, he is worth waiting for! however Our Doc is out of town Thurs, Friday, Sat. Sooo... I really need my body to make something happen in the next couple of days! that's a lot of pressure!
